Army green to gold 24 months 48 months salary to get a degree?
Im trying to learn more about Green gold with little help from the chain of command and re-registration. First understand that if I stay active theyll continue to pay me for 24 months, but still have more than 24 months to get my diploma. I have family and 24 months to school full time and one part-time work may not be possible. the end of my inital 24 months I will go to the SCO to obtain a commission and continue to pay my last 24? also the general plan in civil engineering and construction will be impossible to enter the Army Corps of Engineers? thank you any other information deemed useful to send my messenger actively 3 children per woman deploy next month.
Green gold is not a way of OCS. Is through ROTC. There are actually several different types of green to gold and not all necessarily the payment of the Army's total assets or pay school fees (see link below). The idea behind the 24 months is that if the service is first, only 2 years of ROTC (MS 3 and MS 4) to obtain a commission as a normal cadet who need every 4 years. If you do not complete their degree within the 24 months allotted, the army will not pay for more schooling. The rest, or from the GI Bill, or his pocket. Going to school full time and ROTC and a full time job is technically possible, but discourages effectively because it is spread too thin. And yes, the commissioning, the Commission may within the body, although I am not sure if you mean the branch of engineering, or the Corps of Engineers U.S. Army will not be able to do it directly from ROTC. As his family is, technically, you can not have more three dependents (spouse + children), but you can get an exemption for each case.
