i paas all conditions to join the police, but was rejected by the filtering step because of my brother?

year last (June 2008) i Merseyside Police applied to individuals, I went to the police initial recruitment tests (PIRT), I spent Interveiw the structured and passed the medical examination / finance work / control, should be dismissed without reason in the note that I am clean, the only conclusion I could reach (as the depth of information on releases third police) is my real brother was sentenced there are five years the physical damage that has three years to do it, but is now reformed and put his past behind and live in another area where I am now drag and i pay for their mistakes is either in the same situation I? Does anyone know the best way to appeal this decision?

I guess that claimed in his application form, and if not, it can be dismissed on the reason. I have colleagues who have parents who have been in prison for crimes more serious ABH. If you can expand a little so that I may be able to follow help.
