Is it possible to make a picture black and white and leave some color in iPhoto?

except that there are programs online could use that are free? I want to make a black and white but leave my eye color as a tint of green is clean

My response default for people who do not seem to understand how the role of Yahoo! answers works - like you. For future reference, you write something in bar, and then - now, with care, is the hardest part - you press "Search". No worries. With practice, I am sure you get the hang of it. You can do this with an editing program. I recommend using GIMP. It is available for free download gimp.org comparable to Photoshop in many respects. Using the GIMP: 1. Open your image in GIMP. Open twice and has two copies of the file open. 2. In an image window, choose Color> Desaturate. I recommend choosing the "light" option, but it is not necessary. 3. Use the Control and A to select the entire image, then the control and C to copy the image. 4. Select the image window and another, with the original (color) image. Use the Control and V to paste the image into black and white one. 5. Use the command and L to open your Layers palette. His coat of black and White appears as a floating image. Select the button that looks like a sheet of white paper in the bottom left corner to make a new layer. 6. Click on the layer and choose "Add layer mask." Leave the settings at their default and click "OK". 7. Select the airbrush and a bottle brush. I use the brush size 19 circular diffuse. Change the cursors and the frequency of pressure position. Make the brush size appears appropriate for the size of the object. 8. In the dropdown menu for the profile, select "colored." Click the color swatch and turns black. 9. Paint the area of the object. It should become the color. Continue until you are satisfied. 10. Back in the Layers palette has opened more earlier, right click on the top layer and choose Merge Down. 11. Save your image.
