We heard all about the Red Baron in World War I, but are among the best Aces of World War II?
I also watch what I ask. I found Erich Hartmann, the most successful fighter in history, apparently.
Germany took the top 50 or more Aces World War II. Each ACE does not kill more than 100 flew for the Luftwaffe. The three were: 352 - Erich "Bubi" Hartmann (best of all times) 301 - Gerhard Barkhorn 275 - Günther Rall

Tarnished Angels [VHS] $9.98 Rock Hudson has never been better than as the hard-headed newsman with a romantic soft spot for a team of gypsy fliers--especially the sexy parachute-jumping Dorothy Malone--in Douglas Sirk's adaptation of William Faulkner's Pylon. It's the Depression, and the volatile little family--disillusioned World War I ace Robert Stack; his doting wife Malone; his sad, lovesick mechanic Jack Carson; and Sta... |

Replica WW1 1918 Trench Knife $16.85 This 1918 WWI replica trench knife is an exact copy of the one issued to troops during the first World War. Since trench warfare was such gruesome, close-quarters combat, the trench knife allowed soldiers to not only stab but also bludgeon enemies with the knuckle guard handle. The 6 3/8" AUS-6 stainless steel blade is double-edged. Sheath sold separately. 11" ov... |

Hell's Angels $8.30 Two bright facets light up Hell's Angels, a 1930s aviation melodrama. One is the extraordinary footage re-creating World War I air battles; the other is 18-year-old Jean Harlow. Both are enough to offset the cornball story and stilted dialogue, the latter added late in production, with the advent of motion-picture sound. The movie, almost three years in the making, with a budget of nearly $4 milli... |
