First World War was a global military conflict involving most major world powers, organized into two military alliances opposing powers Allied and Central Powers. over 70 million military personnel have been mobilized in one of the largest wars in history. in a state of war, the main combatants put their scientific and industrial capabilities in the service of war. more than 15 million people have been killed, becoming one of the bloodiest conflicts in human history. The immediate cause of the war, it was June 28, 1914, assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, by a nationalist Bosnian Serb, Gavrilo Princip. Claims resulting Austria-Hungary against the Kingdom of Serbia led to the activation of a series of alliances in a few weeks I have seen all the major European powers at war. as a result of world empires in many European countries, the war is spreading rapidly throughout the world. Finally, War, four major imperial powers (Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungary and Ottoman Empire) had been defeated militarily and politically, with the abandonment the latter two exist as independent countries. revolutionized the Soviet Union from the Russian Empire, and the map of Europe Central has been completely redesigned in many small states. League of Nations was created in hopes of preventing another conflict of this nature. The European nationalism generated by the war, the impact defeats of Germany and the Treaty of Versailles would lead to the beginning of the Second World War in 1939.
